Wheelchair Lockdowns

The Freedom You Deserve The EZ Lock wheelchair restraint system provides the physically challenged driver, or passenger, a degree of independence not possible with other systems. The EZ Lock system does not require cumbersome tiedown belts or straps to be attached to the wheelchair, and an attendant is not needed to engage or release the system. Numerous safety features have been built into the EZ Lock system, these include:
* Sturdy all steel construction
* Visual & audible alarms
* Dependable solid state electronics
* Ignition inhibited release circuit
* Emergency manual release

The lock system has been independently tested to the 30mph/20g standard. In these tests the EZ Lock system has consistently proven its effectiveness at securing the wheelchair in real life collisions.

How it works: The basic EZ Lock system consists of two main components, the EZ Lock base and the wheelchair mounted hardware. The EZ Lock base, which is mounted to the floor of the vehicle, is a low profile docking station (8"W x 10"L x 2.25"H) constructed of heavy gauge 3/16" steel. The EZ Lock base acts as the receiver for the heavy duty 5/8" docking pin, which is attached to the wheelchair. The base and wheelchair mounted hardware are designed to withstand repeated operation and when properly maintained will provide many years of service. The wheelchair mounted hardware is designed for your specific wheelchair, and hardware is available for most of the popular wheelchairs manufactured in the United States, Canada and Europe.

The automatic locking mechanism simply requires that you guide your wheelchair over the top of the lock until the interface on your wheelchair is fully engaged.
Once you have reached your destination, release the wheelchair from the system with the touch of a conveniently located push-button switch. The system is controlled by state of the art electronics, which are accessed through the user-friendly ECU control panel. This panel controls release, deactivation of the alarm for unoccupied use, and an array of warning indicators to advise you of the status of the system.

The EZ Lock wheelchair restraint system is a simple and effective means of securing an occupied wheelchair in a moving vehicle. Operation of the EZ Lock system couldn't be easier.
